Overview
Bell Path uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember your preferences, save your progress, and understand how the product is used. This page lists what is stored and what you can do about it.
Storage Bell Path needs to work
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Security cookies and tokens that protect forms, sign-in and account actions from being faked.
- Temporary cookies used during Google sign-in.
- Browser storage that saves your progress through setup, your preferences, and drafts that can be recovered if a page is closed.
Storage used for analytics and advertising
Bell Path may store an analytics session key in your browser so product events are not counted twice. We use these records internally to see where schools get stuck and to improve the product.
For website visitor statistics, our server stores a one-way hash of the request details rather than your raw IP address.
Google advertising measurement is off until you choose Allow Google measurement. It then stores advertising identifiers and receives visit and conversion information, including advertising user data needed to match a walkthrough request or registration to an ad. Bell Path does not send names, email addresses or school information to Google. Google enhanced conversions and advertising personalisation remain off.
Your Google measurement choice is saved in browser storage. After a successful walkthrough request, a temporary confirmation receipt is kept in that tab so refreshing the thank-you page does not send the conversion again. This receipt contains no contact details and expires after 30 minutes.
Those tags are never active on the login or password pages, on invitation or registration links that carry a token or prefilled school name, inside the school workspace, in the free calculators, on the School Approval Pack review form, or on the support and procurement contact forms. On the contact page, only the walkthrough-request form is measured. The tags never receive timetable, staff, student, support, health or free-text information.
Bell Path does not sell browsing data to advertising networks.
Your choices
Open Privacy choices on an eligible public page or the sign-up page to allow or stop Google measurement. Google measurement stays off until you allow it. Stopping it prevents future Bell Path conversion events. Bell Path works the same either way. Bell Path no longer uses OpenAI advertising measurement.
You can also block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you block the storage Bell Path needs, some things will stop working: signing in, security checks, checkout and draft recovery.
