What it tests
- Whether every teacher’s planning-time entitlement can be supplied.
- Whether any class has been left without a teacher in a slot.
- Whether meetings collide with teaching for the people who must attend.
- Whether room bookings and fixed time blocks can all fit together.
What "Must fix" and "Review" mean
An item marked "Must fix" means no timetable can exist under your current setup, and you need to change something before generating. An item marked "Review" means a timetable can exist but something is worth your attention, such as a spread of sessions you may not have intended. You can accept a "Review" item and continue, and it then shows as "Accepted".
When an item offers a suggested fix
Some shortfalls come with a suggested fix on the item itself. Applying it changes a setting and runs every check again straight away, so you can see whether it fixed the problem before doing anything else. Read what it changes first, because these fixes change how your school is set up, not just what the check reports.
