Setting it up
- 01Define your duty areas and the break times each one covers.
- 02Set who is eligible. Some roles, such as Education Support staff, are never rostered automatically, and that is deliberate.
- 03Generate the roster from the accepted timetable.
- 04Adjust anything by hand. Manual changes are kept and counted.
What balancing means
- Total duties are spread across eligible staff over the term rather than the week.
- Duty is kept off a teacher’s heaviest teaching days where the roster allows it.
- A record for the school year shows each person’s supervision, so the balance carries forward instead of resetting.
